School Started Today

ETA: First day at a new school--the bus totally skipped us. :(

It really snuck up on me. In fact, I've thought for the past 2 months that school started TOMORROW. I'm so glad the OCD part of me downloaded the school calendar yesterday. We're already ready at 6:17am, just biding our time with an episode of "Imagination Movers". Well, she is, I'm avoiding it because the Imagination Movers make me want to stab myself in the eyes AND ears. No really, I hate the fake perky and the pretend innocence--but the kid's like it and it's harmless, really.

We've had a tough summer, I might have mentioned it a few thousand times on this here blog. We moved, which was great--but now we have a yard to mow. We bought a 2nd hand riding mower and it's only mowed the yard completely twice. Mr. Pinkmexico has the skills and will to fix it, and he's done so 3 or 4 times, but the yard has suffered. The back yard was getting pretty gnarly though, and one morning I went out to feed the cat and the back was nicely groomed. I knew the mister hadn't push mowed it in the middle of the night because that's when he's at work. My sweet neighbor, who is also the landlady's daughter, had mowed the back for us. I slipped this into her mailbox on my way to town the other day.
