I feel a little bit off when I create cards for a publication call. Or maybe I feel off after they don't get picked and I start over-analyzing them. I don't know, but I'm toying with the idea of taking a break from submitting. Maybe just for the next set of pub calls, maybe for longer.
We're still struggling here with a broken truck, an ill MIL all the way down in Louisiana and a busy week before school starts. We've all had some kind of cold here too, so we're grumpy and tired.
Enough, right? Here's a card:
stamps: hero arts, lawn fawn
card stock: PTI
patterned paper: my mind's eye home collection 6x6
ink: colorbox charcoal chalk
tools: cuttlebug, spellbinders nestibilities & PTI small scallop border die

I sure am hoping that everyone feels better soon and that things get straightened out with the truck! Lovely, elegant card today! You're in my thoughts, Mary!
Still in my thoughts for a fixed truck! As for the card, I love it! Simple, yet elegant! :)
Sigh....I know exactly how you feel, Mary Dawn. I've nearly given up on submitting things, and/or trying out for DT's. Being the 'cheerleader for the team' seems easier than the rejection when I try and try and try! Hoping that MIL gets better, the truck gets fixed, and you get over your colds!!! By the way, I love your card - so glad you share with us!!! Great design, and choice of DP!
LOVE the paper. I hope things get better for you very soon!
Sounds to me like you have plenty of good reasons to step back for a while. I honestly think a break always improves the creativity. Hope you all are feeling better real soon!
Love this!!
You are focusing too much...it'll come. I think you are rocking the cards lately...very CAS in some respects and super trendy!
Change up your blog? The clouds are cool. I don't think you should give up, you are super duper talented! For instance, this card. This card rocks. Love the colors and the background paper. The paper matches the shape of the chandelier and your nestie gives it the extra elegance.
