Crafter's Companion is releasing some gorgeous new stamp sets from Sheena Douglass. You will loves these, all of them. But I grabbed up the hibiscus first, it IS summer for me.
I created my background in the Silhouette Studio software and used a white gel pen in place of the blade. When the white ink was dry, I trimmed out the mat and colored/shaded inside the shapes with a versamarker. I gently edged the pink panel with white pigment ink and adhered it to a dark grey card base.
My hibiscus image was stamped onto Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock, colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and trimmed the image, leaving a narrow white border. I adhered the flower to my card base with foam adhesive squares and added some narrow strips of grey cardstock behind the flower.
To finish off my project, I added glossy accents to the stamen and scattered some black pearls in a few places.
I'll be back tomorrow with a sneaky peek of another set from the release!
