DIY Bangles Love Stampendous Stamps

I'm excited to show you another project using DIY Bangles and Stampendous Essentials!



For this bangle, I mixed Beacon Fast Finish with some chocolate brown pigment re-inker and used it to stain my bangle. I got impatient and used my heat gun to speed the drying along and it bubbled up and made those neat white speckles on the wood.

When the stain was dry, I added liquid glue to the flat areas one at a time and added Bronze Crushed Glass Glitter and allowed it to dry. One. At. A. Time. No, I did not enjoy the waiting!

Then guess what I did. Yes, I added Glossy Accents to the glitter, one. area. at. a. time.

It was worth the wait, because this bangle is cool as! It has a distressed feel, but not at all vintage, I think it looks very modern and I do not think it looks like a "craft" project at all.

Stampendous + Indus Trading = Awesome


Hello! Sorry for the extended blog break--I blame the turkey. 

I have another Stampendous project for you today. And I'm almost embarrassed about how easy these were to make. I literally covered the bangle and beads with Boss Gloss and sprinkled on Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel. I did 3 layers of the ivory, which has a bit of gold in it. Then I over-heated it, which made the embossing enamel FOAM. Which created this amazing texture. Finally, I added 2 coats of thick clear embossing powder. 

Eventually the beads with be earrings, but my jewelry guy (aka my husband) was busy.

Fast Finish Fall Blog Hop With Beacon Adhesives and Stampendous

This week the Stampendous Design Team and Blog Stars have been sharing beautiful inspiration using Stampendous Stamps and Beacon Fast Finish Decoupage Medium. Fast Finish is a miracle product! It dries super fast and there is no tackiness, which is a big deal if you do alot of home decor and you don't do alot of dusting, amirite?



Since card making is where i'm most comfortable, I decided to use Fast Finish on a card panel. I used Carousel Circus Perfectly Clear™ Stamps and several bright colors of spray inks to create my card panel. Then I used Fast Finish to shine it up. I wanted it to look like a poster and I think the Fast Finish gave it just the right amount of shine. I used watercolor paper and several layers of Fast Finish, letting each coat dry before applying the next.

Fast Finish Fall With Beacon Adhesives and Stampendous

Finally! A decoupage medium and finish that isn't goopy and dries fast, like lightning fast! Fast Finish by Beacon, the official adhesive of Craft Wars starring Tori Spelling, is a dream come true.


This was, literally, my test project, but I liked it so much I thought that you might like it too. I simply stamped the Cling Jumbo Dahlia onto tracing paper in orange dye ink and I rather sloppily colored between the blooms with a water based dye marker. I heat set the images before I glued them to the ceramic tile (6 inch).  The tracing paper bubbled and wrinkled some and the blue ink ran, but I really love the modern and fresh colors and the simplicity.

This Is NOT A Happy Kitty!

You need this stamp in your life--if you love Halloween or pumpkins or grumpy kitties--you need Punkin Kitty! I decided to make a shaker card using Punkin Kitty, Small Typewriter Alphabet Perfectly Clear™ Stamps and Journal Border Perfectly Clear™ Stamps along with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel and Fran•táge Mica Kit.

I started by stamping Punkin Kitty onto white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I colored the image with a variety of alcohol markers. Then I distressed the image with the Journal Border image stamped in light brown dye ink.

Once my focal image was complete, I set it aside and began to work on my shaker frame. I cut a label shape from black cardstock and cut an oval in the center. Then I recycled some acetate from a package of stamps to create the window. I added foam adhesive on the back of the frame close to the inside edge and as close together as possible. While the backing paper was still on the foam adhesive, I added a mixture of fragments from the Fran•táge Mica Kit. Then I carefully removed the adhesive backing from the foam and added Punkin Kitty to seal the deal. 

Once the hard part was finished--and I'm talking about the coloring, kids--I created a sentiment using Small Typewriter Alphabet Perfectly Clear™ Stamps, stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel. I punched the sentiment with a ticket shaped punch and added it to the shaker element. 

Finally, I cut a coordinating card base from Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock, stamped it with Journal Border Perfectly Clear™ Stamps, adhere the shaker element to the card base and using a Versamark pen I added some more Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel around the inside oval and around the sentiment and heat embossed that, being very careful not to overheat and warp the acetate window. 

As a final touch, I added some of the mica mixture along with some clear/irridescent glitter here and there on the card base and frame.

Stampendous October 2012 Release


Stampendous is sneaking you a peek at some gorgeous new stamps releasing this month. I've used Cling Jumbo Spring Bouquet and Thoughtful Wishes Perfectly Clear Set to create this soft, girly card. 

I stamped the floral spray in black pigment ink onto water color paper and heat embossed with black embossing powder. I like to do this when I'm water coloring because the embossing keeps the color from running all crazy. I used a few Ranger Distress Markers, a Dove blender pen and Clearsnap Smooch Illuminate to blend the color and add some shimmer.

Stampendous & Core'dinations Blog Hop




I'm so happy to be hopping with Core'Dinations and Stampendous this morning! I've paired Gemstones with this adorable Little Angels image from Stampendous. I used the Tiny Typewriter Alphabet to get my custom sentiment.

The main image is stamped onto heavy watercolor paper in India ink and watercolored with Distress Markers by Ranger. I'm really a coloring novice, so please ignore the booboos, kthx. 

I used Boss Gloss and Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel to create texture on the main image and at the top of the card.

Stampendous & Core'Dinations Collaboration





I have another fun Stampendous project for you today. This week, Stampendous and Core'Dinations Cardstock are collaborating with a week of projects and a blog hop on Saturday. 

When cardstock is as beautiful as Core'Dinations Gemstones, I like to let it speak for itself. I embossed the blue panel and lightly sanded the raised portions of the design. I also added an embossed box and 1/8 inch in on my card base. I added some fun ribbon, a sentiment by Stampendous and some clear rhinestones. This fresh color combo comes to you courtesy of I DON'T WANT SUMMER TO BE OVER!

Stampendous and May Arts Blog Hop

I used Jumbo Pinecone Boughs, Bronze Glass Glitter and Shaved Ice from Stampendous, Red Twill Stripe ribbon from May Arts, and a button and some tiny letter stickers from my stash to make this fun Winter card. I'm still hoarding this ribbon so I cheated and didn't wrap it around my panel all the way.

Stampendous and May Arts Make a Fine Pair






I am so happy to to post my first official blog as a Stampendous Blog Star! This week we're celebrating with May Arts. Celebrating what, you may be asking? Celebrating how well Stampendous stamps and May Arts ribbon get along! 

I used Memento Tuxedo Black and Teal Zeal dye inks, a blender pen and a couple of coordinating Copic markers along with Stampendous Perfectly Clear Happy Messages and Damask Chair sets with just a touch of May Arts Twill Stripe (because I will be hoarding this ribbon).
