Happy Saturday, friends! It's been awhile since I posted, I blame Fall Break for stealing my will to live. (Ha!)
The kids are back in school, the weather really does feel like Fall and I just might be getting my creativity back, woohoo! The Clearsnap Out of the Colorbox Challenge for October starts today. It's a beautiful color combination chosen my Jean--Pistachio (I used Citrine though), Chestnut and Picante. I used these colors and Hero Arts stamps to create my own patterned paper. I love how this card turned out and I owe my inspiration to AnitaRex, she recently posted a card in the Hero Arts Flickr group using this diamond stamp to create a pattern and it was a real aha moment for me. We often neglect the small stamps that come in sets, but using them to create repeating patterns is a great way to create custom patterned papers that coordinate with the main images that are usually the reason we buy the stamp set in the first place.
Be sure to check out the Clearsnap Blog for this Challenge and loads of inspiration everyday.

Aww you even mentioned me in your blog post! So love this card, it's inspired me too, I will create if I can find the will after I put y kids to bed, never mind the energy!
Haha...your "will to live"...too funny!
Not only do I love the color combo of the challenge but I love the stampIng as well using the small stamps from a set. So true, most times we don't use them. Great job!
This is amazing Mary Dawn! Love those colors. So glad you got your mojo back, send some my way eh?
I keep coming back to look at this card... I can't decide if it is the color combo or the pattern.
I saw this on the Clearsnap blog and just had to come and tell you that I loooooved this card. Very retro feel. The color combo is great :)
