Hero Arts Inspired Pairs Challenge

So, recently Joy and Jennifer from Hero Arts paired for a week of challenges/blog posts using the same Hero Arts stamps. We (and I mean all the Hero Flickr Groupies ;)) wanted in on that action, so Joy and the other Hero Hostesses managed to organize the whole deal and I was paired up with sweet Froggie. She and I decided to do 4 to 6 weeks worth of challenges, once a week and posting on Fridays. I completely dropped the ball, but it might have been the cold medicine, yeah?

Our first challenge was to use the Friendship Definition background and Froggie posted her beautiful cards yesterday. Here's what I came up with. I even figured out that box all on my very own, I'm posting a template at the bottom--it's really very simple dimple. I was inspired by a KFC box--it's something I haven't seen before and I didn't know for sure what to call it to look, so I just fiddled (for hours) until I pretty much sorta kinda figured it out, maybe.

This also fits the Embellish Magazine Color Challenge with Paper Piecing, that's the most recent Embellish Challenge.

stamps: Hero Arts
card stock: PTI
ink: PTI, studio G
patterned paper: making memories autumn splendor
accessories: wright's crochet cotton, viney trim from ish's blog candy (OMG, PERFECTION)
tools: scor-pal, cuttlebug, fiskars paper trimmers, spellbinders and cuttlebug dies, WeR ergo blade

I also turned some beautiful blackberries into a cobbler today. I haven't really been busy, this is the world's easiest recipe--a cup of self rising flour, a cup of evaporated milk & a cup of sugar, a stick of butter and 2 or 3 cups of sweetened fruit. (if you want instructions, just email me or comment)

And here's the box template I promised, if these instructions aren't enough, please email or comment, I'd be happy to answer questions. Click on the picture to enlarge it.

Longest blog post ever? I think so! Thanks for looking.
