One Layer Wednesday #9

Flourishes:

So, I had finally decided to join my friend Susan's one layer challenge. And then she calls for a flourish. The only flourishes I have are full backgrounds, and that didn't appeal to me. So, I was understandably bummed. That is, until I started sorting and organizing in my craft room and found one of the Hero Arts 4 x 12 sets that a friend sent me in a goodie box. It's the Bird & Branch set and lo' and behold, a flourish.

All that to tell you that I have a couple cards for Susan's challenge. Long-winded much? I think maybe! LOL

This one uses a sentiment from PTI's Damask Designs along with the floral-y flourish from Bird & Branch.

The sentiment I used on this one is also from Hero Arts, the set is called Truly Appreciated. I guess the pink chalk ink wasn't as cleaned off as I thought, because the flourish looks pink, but then again, I'm picky.

These LOOK great to me, but I can't help feeling like I cheated. It took more time to clean up after I made them than it did to make them.

That stamp is just perfect! I like how you flipped the stamp on the second card - clever you!!! Beautiful cards, Dawn!

This isn't cheating! It's a "one layer" challenge. These are perfect! What a great flourish that is! Love 'em both, Mary Dawn!

Love them! Especially the dark one, you don't see that much for a one layer challenge! Glad to see you back and crafting!

Gorgeous one layer cards Dawn and I love how completely different they look from each other because of the different designs and colours.
