Is It Possible?

Am I really posting four days in a row? I can't believe it either, people! I can't get enough of my new stuff, which is a very good thing considering the dry spell I just endured.

This adorable ewe and lamb stamp is by Unity Stamp Co. I had this idea to color the baby pink or blue and make it into a baby card. However, I didn't have an appropriate sentiment to make it so. Next best thing, I used this sweet sentiment from Luck of the Irish by PTI. I used my Oval and Labels 10 nesties for this and I'm loving this combo for sentiments, it's classy and cute.

I created a mask of the image on text paper and spread a thin layer of Tombow Mono-Multi on the back and let it dry to make it repositionable. I applied the mask to my colored image after cutting and embossing and left it in the die. I applied Ranger Distress Ink in Peeled Paint and Broken China and blotted with a baby wipe to get the splotchy texture. I love how Distress Ink reacts with water.

The patterned paper is from Report Card by October Afternoon and it coordinates perfectly with PTI Aqua Mist and Smokey Shadow. The ribbon loops are vintage flocked velvet--thank goodness my mother never throws out anything! I also used scalloped large rectangle nestabilities and the small scallop border from PTI to trim my layers.

tools: Cuttlebug, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Tim Holtz Inking Tool, PTI small scallop border die

Love what you've done with this Unity stamp image (I own this and love it!) Great card design, love the argyle paper and your ribbon embellishment, and the sentiment you chose to use with the sheep!

You've come back with a bang! Love how you explained how you made the grass and sky, will have to try that! That sentiment is perfect and I think you could use it for a abby card still!

Love your idea of using this cute, cute stamp as a baby card with a pink or blue lamb. I haven't bought any Unity in quite a while but this image may push me over the edge again. What a great way to use ribbon, too.
